When you get the call, you just have to go. Getting the chance to photograph a scene like this in Hawaii wasn’t even a consideration for my first few years of living on the island. You would never expect to find a climate this cold in such a tropical place, but Mauna Kea being nearly 14,000 ft tall, under the right conditions will get snow. After my first trip to the summit I was hooked and whenever I got the opportunity, I was ready to go back for more. This evening was special because I got to bring along my good friend since way back @gopalnataraja who was visiting the islands for the first time. We were racing against time but we made it up just as the sunset colors began to show. This view never disappoints. Thanks to @dropshotkillah and @joshwhitcombhawaii for always letting me tag along 🤝📷🗻

It’s been a minute since I’ve really been active on this page. So much has changed in 5 years. But my love for taking photos remains. I had dreams of exclusively capturing and then sharing my wave photos here, but that chapter has passed and new opportunities are on the horizon. It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of picture perfect. Perfect feed, perfect lighting, perfect composition etc. One of my favorite part’s about photography is the trial and error and learning on the go. So here we go, life’s an adventure, let’s see what we find along the way 📸
